Rachel Hillman

Introducing Rachel Hillman, a dynamic musician whose journey weaves through the diverse tapestry of South Florida, the music mecca of Nashville, and the vibrant scene of Tallahassee. Raised amidst the eclectic culture of the Sunshine State, Rachel's passion for storytelling through song led her to pursue a music education at Florida State University where she explored opera libretti, Irish fiddling and big band swing.

Today, armed with her Gretsch hollow-body guitar and her trusty bruised fiddle, Rachel giddily blends influences from Lake Street Dive, Ella Fitzgerald, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to craft a sound that is nostalgic, joyous, and nuanced. Inspired by the whimsy of playing Legend of Zelda, World of Warcraft, and Skyrim, Rachel's music captures the imagination, transporting listeners to fantastical realms where every chord is an adventure waiting to unfold.

With experience performing in amphitheaters, on radio and television, and in intimate house concerts, Rachel captivates audiences with her magnetic presence and evocative lyrics, weaving tales that resonate with the landscapes and wildlife of North Florida. Whether leading her band, collaborating with Tallahassee Swing, Clave, or Edessa, or delivering intimate solo performances, Rachel's music resonates with a new generation of listeners who crave authenticity and connection.
